THE BEARD IS ACTUALLY GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH

growing a beard health benefits

The beard is the ultimate masculine tag for men although many have chosen to shave it, I personally can’t see why and wondering what are they going to cut off next but still if you are not interested in it as the masculine symbol perhaps you health would be a good reason to  man up and grow it back.

There are surprisingly to some many beard health benefits that have been proven to be associated only to to men growing a beard and here are some.

LOWERS SKIN CANCER RISK

Your beard actually acts like shades for your eyes against sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays, that’s right it blocks up to 95% of the UV light that causes skin cancer, having a beard reduces that % significantly and the bigger your beard the better, see how it conveniently goes with our goals in BEARD ROOM,

A recent study conducted at the University of Southern Queensland in Australia, published in the journal Radiation Protection Dosimetry, confirms these facts.

It is also important to point that having a beard does not mean that further precautions should be taken such as sun protection products.

NO MORE SHAVING RUSH

This one is obvious no shaving no rush, not really actually this rush can affect bearded or shaved men but the bacteria that cause it the staphylococcus aureus lives on the shaving tools and re-infects shavers more often, that’s why they’re more likely to get it.

Also when shaving a lot the hair growing up may cause a bump cut or irritated again by shaving could infect the skin.

HELPS REDUCE ALLERGIES

Your beard actually work as dust and pollens filter reducing allergic reactions by keeping it from your respiratory system, more to that it may also help your immune system get used to it since small amounts of dust and pollen will be in your beard the immune system could get used it, like a vaccine.

HELPS REDUCE ASTHMA

In the same way it protects you against allergies it does block the irritating home dust that triggers asthma.

It is important though to keep your beard clean in order for it to act as a filter but like any filter it gets dirty and needs to be emptied, or else you’ll be stimulating allergies and asthma.

HELPS FIGHT COUGHS

beard helps reduce coughs

Growing a thick beard with hair under the chin and neck will raise the temperature of the neck and help fight colds.

Hair is an insulator that keeps you warm, a higher body temperature can help a cough, though you need to look at the underlying causes to treat it, too. The warmer you keep yourself and the more fluids you drink equip you to fight it better.

  1. Shaving with a safety razor is a art. If you don't have experience you can't properly shave with a safety razor. If you are using a safety razor for the 1st time you should be careful.
